Adding a New Domain
- Navigate to Websites & Domains
Click on "Add Domain" button - Enter Domain Name
Type your domain name without www (e.g., example.com) - Select Hosting Type
Choose "Website hosting" for full hosting features - Configure Document Root
Default: httpdocs (can be customized if needed) - Set Preferred Domain
Choose between www.domain.com or domain.com as primary
Subdomain Management
Create unlimited subdomains for your main domain. Common examples:
- blog.yourdomain.com
- shop.yourdomain.com
- support.yourdomain.com
- api.yourdomain.com
Creating a Subdomain:
- Go to Websites & Domains
- Click "Add Subdomain"
- Enter subdomain prefix (e.g., "blog" for blog.domain.com)
- Select parent domain
- Specify document root folder
Domain Aliases
Domain aliases allow multiple domain names to point to the same website content. Perfect for:
- Different domain extensions (.com, .net, .org)
- Misspelled variations of your domain
- Old domain names you want to redirect
DNS Zone Management
Manage DNS records for your domain:
- A Record: Points domain to IP address
- CNAME: Creates alias for another domain
- MX: Mail exchange records for email
- TXT: Text records for verification (SPF, DKIM)
- NS: Nameserver records
Domain Forwarding
Set up different types of forwarding:
- 301 Redirect: Permanent redirect (SEO friendly)
- 302 Redirect: Temporary redirect
- Frame Forwarding: Keeps original URL in browser
